  • Are there any swimming areas?

    No swimming areas.

  • What can you tell me about the wildlife in the area?

    Everglades National Park is home to a variety of wildlife, including alligators, crocodiles, manatees, and dolphins, as well as an abundance of bird types. We recommend that you visit the National Park Service Website for more information on the animals.

  • Do the Glamping Tents lock?

    The Glamping Tents utilize combination locks. Allowing them to be secure while you explore.

  • Can I bring a portable AC in the glamping tent?

    Portable AC units are not permitted.

  • Can boat engines be flushed at the Marina?

    No. Washing boats, flushing motors, maintenance, etc is prohibited within Evergaldes National Park and is subject to ticketing from law enforcement.

  • What are the dining options?

    Breakfast, lunch, and dinner options are available at the newly built The Restaurant at Flamingo. Grab-and-go options are available in the Marina Store and also offers beverages, beer, wine, sundries, gifts, souvenirs, ice, and firewood.

    The food truck is open November through April, weather depending.

  • What trailheads on in the area?

    To see the various trailheads in the area, refer to the National Park Service website.

  • What bait is available?

    Frozen bait is available in the Marina store.

  • What is the fishing like?

    Fishing inside Everglades National Park is world-class and is a destination for those from around the world. For information on regulations, please refer to the National Park Service website.

  • Where is Flamingo?

    Flamingo is located at the southernmost tip of Florida within the Everglades National Park.

  • Do the sites have full hookups?

    We offer a select amount of electric sites in our T-Loop Campground.

  • When is Long Pine Key Campground open?

    November 1 through April 30, and all sites are dry.

  • When is check-in & check-out?

    A-Loop/T-Loop/LPK

  • How does the check-in process work for campground and glamping tent guests arriving late?

    Information regarding your reservation is left just outside the kiosk giving instructions on what site to go to and more. This process includes Glamping Tent reservations.

  • What do I do if no one is at the gate?

    The park entrance gate never closes.

  • What is the weather like?

    Average Temperatures:
    Spring months: Highs around 83*F and lows around 65*F
    Summer months: Highs around 90*F and lows around 75*F
    Fall months: Highs around 85*F and lows around 69*F
    Winter months: Highs around 77*F and lows around 58*F

  • Can I park my pop-up camper or trailer at A-Loop?

    RVs and campers are not permitted in A-Loop.

  • Can I get a refund if the bugs are too bad?

    Bugs are a way of life in Everglades National Park and should be expected to be present. No refunds will be given.

  • How big are the electric sites?

    Electric sites can fit a maximum of 45 ft RV.

  • What is the difference between Long Pine Key Campground and A Loop of Flamingo Campground?

    Long Pine Key Campground (35 miles north of Flamingo) offers tent and RV sites. Flamingo A Loop is tent camping only.

  • Why can't I take my dog on hiking trails?

    For more information on pet policy throughout the park and trails refer to the National Park Service website.

  • What is the pet policy?

    Pets are permitted in the campground. They are not permitted in the houseboats, glamping tents, or rental boats.
