  2. Apply insect repellant: Use products with DEET, picaridin, oil of lemon eucalyptus

Campgrounds

There is no better way to experience the Everglades then spending a night under the stars

The most accessible camping locations are the two drive-in locations Long Pine Key Campground and Flamingo Campground. Both sites can accommodate tents and RVs and offer a limited number of group sites. Reservations are highly recommended.

Long Pine Key Campground

Only a few miles from the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center, adjacent to the Long Pine Key Trail and encompassing a pleasant fishing pond, the Long Pine Key Campground provides all the essentials required for getting yourself in tune with nature.

Details:

  • Amenities include bath houses, a dump station and a potable water filling station. Long Pine Key has both AT&T and Verizon cell phone services.
  • Campsite fees per night: – Regular Rate: $33; Group Site: $60; Senior/Military: $29.70; All Park Pass Holders: $29.70
  • Our Long Pine Key campground is open November 1st through April 30th.

Flamingo Campground

The campgrounds at Flamingo offer an unforgettable year-round experience in Everglades National Park.

  • Campgrounds include bathhouses, dump stations, picnic tables, grills and an amphitheater for winter programs.
  • Non-electric campsite fees per night: $33 Mon-Thurs, $38.50 Fri-Sun, $60 for group sites.
  • Electric campsite fees per night: $50 Mon-Thurs, $60 Fri-Sun.
  • Flamingo Campground Kiosk Hours: 8:00 AM -6:00 PM

Please Note: Bayside campground is closed for the 2025 season.

Please Note: The sites at our T-Loop campground include pull-through RV sites and a select number have electrical hookups offering 30A-20A-50A pedestals. T-loop sites DO NOT have water or sewer hook ups. Potable water filling stations are located next to the dump station. T-Loop bathhouses DO NOT have hot water.
