Flamingo Lodge & Restaurant FAQ

General

  • Is it the same lodge from before?

    No, the old lodge was demolished due to extensive hurricane damage. The new lodge is a new structure.

  • Is there a fire pit?

    There are no fire pits.

  • Are there BBQ grills?

    Yes, there is 1 grill located between each lodging building available first come first serve.

  • Is there a shuttle from lodge to marina?

    No, the marina is only a short walk from the lodge.

  • Is there Wi-Fi? How good is it?

    Yes, but it shouldn’t be used for streaming or downloading.

  • Is there a picnic area?

    There is no picnic area.

  • Is there a pool?

    There is no pool onsite.

  • Is there an ice machine?

    No, however ice can be purchased at Marina Store.

Parking

  • Where can I park my boat and trailer?

    There are few spots near the lodge that can accomodate trailers, first come first serve, otherwise parking is available near the visitor center and the marina, short walk to the lodge.

  • Is parking assigned for each room? How many parking spots do i get or is it open parking?

    Parking is not assigned and is first come first serve.

  • Is there RV parking?

    RV’s can park at the lodge, but cannot be occupied overnight.

Restaurant

  • What is on the menu?

    Visit our dining page to view our menu.

  • Is there a bar?

    Yes, there is a bar in the restaurant.

  • Will there be room service?

    There is no room service, but takeout can be picked up at the restaurant.

  • When will it open?

    Opening date is undetermined at this time.

Rooms

  • Do you allow smoking in the room?

    Smoking and vaping are not permitted.

  • How many occupants per room?

    Studios can accommodate up to 2 people.
    One bedroom suites can accommodate up to 4 people.
    Two bedroom suites can accommodate up to 6 people.

  • Is there A/C?

    Yes.

  • What types of coffee pots are in the room? Does it come with filters and coffee?

    Regular coffee maker are availabe in each room. Filters are not provided as the coffee comes in filter bags for easy use.

  • Can extra people sleep in the room (go over occupancy of room)?

    Occupancy cannot exceed permitted room allowance.

  • What amenities are in the room?

    Body wash, shampoo, conditioner, coffee, dish soap.

  • Are there phones in the room?

    No.

  • Are there TVs in the room?

    No.

  • What are the square footage of the rooms?

    Studio – 300 sq ft
    One Bedroom – 420 sq ft
    Two Bedroom – 640 sq ft

  • What room types are there?

    Studio, 1 bedroom, and 2 bedroom as well as ADA accommodations.

  • Will I have a view of the water?

    Yes, all accommodations have views of Florida Bay.

  • Are there rollaways and cribs available?

    There are no rollaway beds available.
    Pack n plays are available upon request.

Policies

  • Is there a minimum night stay?

    Yes, depending on time of year.

  • Are dogs allowed?

    No dogs are allowed with the exception of qualified ADA service dogs.

  • What is the cancellation policy? How do i cancel?

    7 days prior to arrival, call 855-708-2207 to cancel.

  • How much is put on my credit card for incidentals?

    The lodge will authorize $250 at the time of check-in in addition to the total amount due on your reservation.

Lodge

  • Check-in/Check-out times

    Check-in: After 4 pm
    Check-out: 11 am

  • What are your front desk hours?

    The front desk hours are: May through November 9am to 7pm, December through April 6am to 10pm.

  • What if i check-in after hours?

    Night security will be available for late check-ins.

  • Is there an elevator?

    Yes, located in the restaurant/front desk building.

  • Is there a group rate?

    Group rates can vary seasonally, please contact 855-708-2207.

  • How many units does it have?

    The lodge has 24 units.

  • Is there a senior discount?

    Not at this time.
