Explore the Everglades Sustainably – Everglade Tours

At Flamingo Adventures, we offer two unique boat tours departing daily from the Flamingo Marina. These Everglade tours allow adventurous visitors to explore the diverse landscapes of the Everglades while connecting with its rich history and wildlife. Led by knowledgeable naturalists, the tours emphasize the significance of protecting the Everglades while showcasing its amazing beauty. 

Florida Bay Boat Tour 

Make waves as you explore the expansive Florida Bay on the Bald Eagle II, a single-deck catamaran. This 90-minute tour offers sweeping views of the bay while your guide shares insights into the region’s natural and cultural history. It’s an incredible opportunity for wildlife enthusiasts to spot wading birds, dolphins, and other marine creatures in their natural habitat.

• Availability: Daily from November 1 – April 30 (10AM, 12PM, 2PM, and 4PM)

Backcountry Boat Tour 

Dive into the heart of the Everglades with our Backcountry Boat Tour. This 90-minute adventure takes you along the Buttonwood Canal, through Coot Bay and Tarpon Creek, and into Whitewater Bay. Discover the quiet beauty of the backcountry, rich with mangroves, alligators, and the sounds of nature.

• Availability: Year-round (9 AM, 11 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM)

Beyond Earth Day – Our Commitment to Sustainability 

At Flamingo Adventures, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Beyond showcasing the beauty of the Everglades, we are committed to ensuring our operations contribute to preserving this vital ecosystem. Here’s how we’re making a difference:

• Eco-Friendly Amenities
  We’ve introduced Natura Green products at the Lodge, including eco-friendly shampoo, conditioner, and soap to reduce environmental impact. 
• Compostable Products
  The Flamingo Restaurant has replaced most of its plastic bags and cutlery with compostable alternatives, and we’re working to eliminate all single-use plastic beverage bottles at our Marina Store by year’s end. 
• Sustainable Partnerships
  We’re actively engaging with Compost for Life, a South Florida-based group, to establish food and glass waste composting on-site or through their facilities. 
• Green Lodge Certification
  The Flamingo Lodge is proud to have joined Green Key Global as we work toward achieving certification as a sustainable lodging operation. This includes eliminating single-use plastics and shifting to bamboo room keys, enhancing our eco-forward accommodations. 
• Recycling Initiatives
  Through our partnership with Clean the World, we recycle leftover soaps and plastics from our Lodge rooms, ensuring they don’t contribute to waste.
