May 29 Update

Date: May 29, 2020
Category: Blogs News

We have been authorized to resume camping in Flamingo starting Monday, June 1st.

The campground check-in location for the summer season will be the activity booth at the marina. Signs will be posted at the campground kiosk to direct campers to the Activity Booth to finalize their stay. Online reservations are strongly encouraged.

As we return to full operations in Flamingo, some changes have been made to our operation and our schedule to reflect the current economic climate. We remain cashless and will continue to accept credit or debit cards as the only form of payment until further notice. Below are the current hours of operations and updates to the open & closures of our operation:

The Marina Store is open from 9AM – 5PM, 7 days a week.

The Flamingo Campground will be open 7 days a week.  Only select sites in A Loop & T Loop will be available. The check-in location for the campground will be the Activity Booth (next to the fuel pumps at the Marina) from 9AM – 5PM, 7 days a week.

Walk-in campsites are closed for the season.

Long Pine Key Campground is closed for the season.

Eco Tents remain closed until further notice.

Skiff & Pontoon rentals are available from 8AM – 5PM, 7 days a week. We open an hour earlier for our powersport rentals than our paddle sports due to the added time of the pre-launch process and orientation. This also allows for 2 half day rentals with the same boat.

Houseboat rentals remain closed until further notice.

Canoes, Kayaks, and Bicycles are available from 9AM – 5PM, 7 days a week. We are not offering  canoe or kayak transports at this time. Nine Mile Pond & Hell’s Bay rentals are not available at this time.

Backcountry Tours remain closed until further notice.

Bayside tours are suspended until Fall 2020.

Also, the current mosquito level is extremely high. Proper bug protection is a must for all guest, especially those staying overnight.
